Gospel means “good news”. The good news concerns Jesus Christ who is God’s only Son. Jesus Christ is both fully God and now also fully Man. As the Creator of the universe Jesus Christ eternally pre-existed his physical birth to Mary but revealed Himself to the world at his birth more than 2,000 years ago.
Jesus Christ proved His God-ness through living a perfect life. At an appointed time of God’s choosing Jesus Christ was taken by cruel men and killed, however the killing of Jesus Christ was all a pre-determined plan of God to pay for sin. Sin is the rejection of God’s law which leads to unholiness, sin must be punished. Jesus Christ willingly died in order that mankind through repentance to God and faith in Jesus Christ can be forgiven and receive eternal life. Jesus said “I AM the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Me”
The Bible says that “all have sinned” – the good news is that Jesus Christ died for all. It is each individual persons responsibility to ask God for forgiveness and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. “All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved”. This is good news.
